Our My-Prompt Specialists are all accredited Executive Function Coaches. They will show you how to use the My-Prompt app to improve your executive function.

Executive function helps us to plan and carry out our goals. It is key to success in education, in the workplace and in life. Executive Dysfunction is typically experienced by those who are neurodiverse and those who have certain mental health conditions. The good news is that executive function can be improved by practising strategies and our My-Prompt app and coaching programme is designed to help you improve your cognitive, behavioural and emotional responses.

ADHD

(Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)

ADHD has been described as having a brain like a computer with 100 website tabs open and trying to scroll them all at the same time.

It can bring amazing benefits such as creativity, energy, and being inspiring and strategic. It can also bring challenges, such as procrastination, poor concentration, low self-esteem, being overly impulsive and a lack of motivation.

Your My-Prompt Specialist will also be an accredited ADHD coach. They will have an excellent understanding of ADHD and will be able to show you strategies to improve your performance and quality of life. These strategies include topics such as getting started, staying on task, improving memory, increasing productivity and healthy emotion regulation. Our coaching sessions are broken into 3 parts:

  • Explain why you experience difficulties in a specific area, such as procrastination
  • Listen to your particular experiences.
  • Share with you strategies that are tailored to your needs.

This is what is known as a ‘psychoeducational’ approach, where you learn about ADHD, you understand how it will impact you, and you are introduced to the strategies you need to minimise the challenges and harness your strengths.

The metacognitive aspect of our coaching model is where we want to also learn from you.  We want to listen to your experiences which will enable us to tailor a support package for you as an individual.

Studies show that ADHD coaching can be even more effective than medication.  Our ADHD coaching progamme has received excellent feedback and we look forward to listening to your needs and sharing with you strategies that we know will make a huge difference.

Our My-Promptprogramme will help you to develop excellent strategies in areas such as getting started, staying on task, improving memory, increasing productivity and healthy emotion regulation.

There is a well known saying that if you have met one autistic person, then you have met one autistic person.  This shows the diversity of autism, meaning that every autistic person is an individual.

The diversity of autism applies to skills and limitations.  This is why we’re interested to hear about your experience so we can make sure we provide you with solutions that will meet your needs.

Your My-Prompt specialist, who is qualified in Autism Support, understands the challenges you experience and will work alongside you to develop excellent strategies in areas such as communicating, prioritising, memory, social confidence, and emotion regulation. Our coaching sessions are broken into 3 parts:

  • Explain why you experience difficulties in a specific area, such as communication
  • Listen to your particular experiences.
  • Share with you strategies to build your confidence and ability

ASC covers a wide spectrum which means, as explained by Laura Tisoncik, that if you are high-functioning your deficits are ignored, and if you are low- functioning your assets are ignored. People can be rather unforgiving towards high functioning autism as they only see your ability and refuse to accept or forgive the difficulties you experience.

Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs) describe a ‘spikey’ learning profile where you will excel in some aspects of learning (the highest point of a spike) and experience a reduced performance in others. SpLDs include dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. ADHD is both a SpLD and a mental health condition.

You only have to do an online search using terms such as ‘famous dyslexics’ to know how many prosperous individuals are neurodiverse. Some of the world’s wealthiest and most successful individuals are dyslexic, dyspraxic, ADHD, etc.

Neurodiversity can bring amazing benefits such as great interpersonal skills, excellent visual problem solving, creativity and tenacity. It can also bring challenges such as difficulties with memory, organisation, communication and time management, but these can be managed with successful strategies.

SpLDs will affect individuals differently as they are spectrum conditions. This is why we’re interested to hear from you about your experiences so we can make sure we provide you with solutions that will meet your needs.

Your My-Prompt Specialist will also be qualified in supporting individuals with SpLDs. They will have an excellent understanding of SpLDs and will be able to show you strategies to improve your performance and quality of life. Our coaching sessions are broken into 3 parts:

  • Explain why you experience difficulties in a specific area, such as organisation
  • Listen to your particular experiences.
  • Share with you strategies that are proven to be effective.
